So you guys get one a day early. I’m only doing this because I’m going to be so freakishly busy this week that I know I won’t update on Tuesday. The Auto-Updater will probably screw me up again.
It would appear that Amarantha won without keeping up her end of the deal, Zarillion’s and Aza are in…a coma…but Aza has it worse…
JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE GETTING SOMEWHERE!
OMG, so Aza came up with this AMAZING, drawing style! I was so excited I asked him to let me write the blog for this comic! I don’t know how Aza comes up with these new styles of drawing, but wow! The man is pure genius! Can’t get any more original than that! I think he captured our WoW characters perfectly! This is definitely a more accurate representation than before. You know what other web-comic artists who are competing with Aza for the millions of WoW web-comic reading fans out there? Watch. Out. Yeah, I said it! The innovation of this masterpiece of a comic is going to blow all of you out of the WoW web-comic waters. I know you’re all going to want to copy his new style, but really just don’t bother. You won’t be able to compete. Just kidding! (But really I’m not…)
I guess we really should find a name for it or something… anyone got any ideas?
EDIT #1: (Azarizotza) APRIL FOOLS!!!! Yes, I’m sure I got you all… I am a big fan of Genndy Tartakovsky…(Dexter’s Laboratory, Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars) I always wanted to pay homage to his art. I actually HAVE been receiving emails about the dynamic of my comic not being dissimilar to The Powerpuff Girls. This gave me the perfect opportunity to (at least attempt) to fool you all and pay tribute to an artistic hero!
For those who missed it: The site looked like this on April, 1st. 2011.
For those who want it: I have prepared an iPhone/iPad-Friendly version of the last panel. Feel free to use it as your background. I have a desktop version too!
I’m sorry to report! My style isn’t changing! (Due mostly from fear of stylistic copyright)
EDIT #2: Yes, I did in fact draw a full version of Kil’Jaeden as Mojo Jojo!
A COMIC! On a Monday!?
WTF?! After a MONTH of mourning the end of Tales from the Crossroads, I finally got this comic up. I learned a lot. It was bitter work, but it was worth it!
I figure you can have it today instead of making you wait until Tuesday since…I’m weeks behind…
Now: The story…Did Aza finish Zerkest or is he still kicking? I guess we’ll have to wait and see. But it’s clear that Aza has secured the way out of TMDM headquarters!
As far as life is going, I’ve found myself SWAMPED. Xandie and I are planning an actual wedding ceremony for our family and friends (though we are already married). I’ve been preoccupied with that.
So on my free time I ended up doing a guest comic for Coffinshaker instead of working on this one! (By the way, when you get to his site, hit the “First” link and read through his comics)
Until Next Time!
So, I’m a bit emotional about the ending of Tales from the Crossroads. There’s just so much to say, but I won’t say much. Judge the comic for yourself. The story was heartwarming and the man behind behind it is a rare specimen of kindness.
Tokkar. I wish you the best!
Looks like a very frustrated Zerkest is finally calling out Aza..I don’t like the way this is going.
Also, it looks like we get a little insight into Aza’s Past! Interesting indeed!
GOOD NEWS! I got some free time, so I was able to spin up a small comic anyway. I’m gonna try to get another small one up by Tuesday but no promises!
It looks like Aza was able to catch Zerkest red handed! Or did she?
EDIT: On a side note, this comic actually solidifies how I feel about Arcane magic. I always felt that Azarizotza was more of a theorist than say a “Battle-Mage”, so approaches it from a more scientific and mathematical/mechanical perspective. The idea of certain Arcane structures such as portals being, in essence, “built” from sort of mechanical components of other different spells, rather than just being a simple spell was prevalent in my mind. You’ll eventually see that there’s more to this.
Boy, that took a long time. You’ll see Amarantha looks different. She was due for a remodeling.
Also trying out some new shading….
As for Aza…is it really smart for her to side with the evil she knows over the evil she doesn’t?
We’ll have to see.
Well it’s perfectly clear that Aza’s not making any friends here…
EDIT: Wow, I really have to learn to remember to put a publish time on these. I keep intending to and keep forgetting to. Oh well, you get it a few hours early.
So yeah, I’m sure you guys were all worried about me, having not updated on Tuesday and not even finding time to put up an excuse. Last week was pure insanity as far as “familial obligations”.
The good news is I’m trying out some new shading styles, let me know how it looks!
Poor Aza, not even a chance, maybe she shouldn’t have slapped Zerkest….
Let’s hope Solstia and Xandaria are better off!
The spell-check game is still on. I am announcing now, everything Zerkest says is ineligible for the spell-check game. Most of what he says is spelled wrong.
Yes, the clip show was inevitable. Actually, no it wasn’t. The idea really came from watching a clip-show from some show (I forgot what it was) and complaining to Xandie. I said “Damn clip-show, what a cop-out, you can’t do that with a comic…………..OR CAN YOU?!”
And so the greatest idea ever was born.
In other news, I got my degree in hyperbole yesterday!
EDIT: Having given this enough time, I will announce I spelled “Fourteen” wrong. I’m shocked no one got it.
