Yeah I’m quite shocked the introwebs didn’t pick up on that one sooner, especially because I had put it there for that reason.
The iPad is great. Though probably not completely practical for drawing the comics in entirety, it is good for more detailed art. Only problem is that I need a glove because my hand sometimes leaves marks because of the Multi-touch.
The most important part of this statement though is whether or not you liked your drawing stylus. ;-P
There’s Smudgegard but it currently doesn’t work with the ipad… BUT, the guy that makes these is redesigning one to work! prob is that the regular one isn’t thick enough. some people say you can put a piece of microfiber cloth in there. But I’d keep checking back for updates on the progress.
Others say you can put just a microfiber square under your hand, like the one you clean your eye glasses with. Which would probably be the cheapest solution to go with.
alternatively, you can do that evil thing in art class where you have to lift you hand up and draw with your arm… like we had to do with charcoals… uhg, I hate drawing like that! XP
lol yeah, I actually got a pair of 5 dollar cloth gloves and cut out the finger tips and it works great now. I did try drawing with my hand up but I sure that’s a way to some sort of charcoal tunnel syndrome.
lol, I forgot you could just go down to the store and get cotton gloves… sigh… down here in florida, you don’t really see that sorta thing… “maybe” close to winter, but we don’t get the good stuff!
I went to chicago in winter once… bought all my winter gear in fl… bad idea! had to run to a walmart up there for actual cold weather clothes! lol!
lol, anyways, I like your version of CTS! I see way too many tutorials and vids that say “oh, just lift your hand up to draw”, right, like I’d want to try explaining how I got CTS and tennis elbow to the doc!
